Help us build a world without NEC for babies like our son, Rex! No family should ever have to experience the loss of a child, but every day at least one baby dies from NEC. We want to elevate awareness for this awful disease and raise donations to support the NEC Society's mission.

About Rexercise 2025
Join us for the 2nd Annual Rexercise Event -
Saturday, May 17th 2025!
Ways to participate:
1. Exercise and dedicate your workout to Rex!
On May 17th, NEC Awareness Day (or anytime during the month of May) dedicate your workout to Rex! Take a walk, lift some weights, do some yoga, go for a run, or anything to get your body moving! Snap a picture or video and share across social media. Use the following hashtags to help spread awareness for NEC: #Rexercise #preventNEC #NECawareness. Consider making a donation in his honor.
2. Order your 2025 Rexercise T-shirts Click here to order!
All profits from the t-shirts will be collected and donated to the NEC Society as part of the event. Check out this years logo designs and colors! Be sure to order yours early to arrive in time for NEC Awareness Day! Follow the link to shop the Rexercise store for tees, crewnecks, tanks, coffee mugs and more!
3. Join us for a Donation-Based Fitness Class at EnergyX Fitness & ZenergyX Yoga Studio.
Visit the webpage below for donation-based classes offered at the studio on Saturday, May 17th for NEC Awareness Day. Followed directly by a community social. In lieu of the class fee, consider making a donation to the NEC Society in his honor.

Why Rexercise?
Background: On November 27th, 2023, Rexton was born 16 weeks premature and had a 50% chance of surviving delivery. At a weight of 1.2 lbs and 11.5 inches long, he fought bravely to be part of this world. At two weeks old, the doctors discovered he had a heart defect - ventricular septal defect (VSD). Just a few days later he developed NEC, and within hours, he had severe intestinal perforations. He tragically passed away in his mother's arms at 20 days old in the NICU. Help us honor and remember the life of Rex by joining our event and donating to the NEC society!
The NEC Society's mission means a great deal to us, and we hope you can join us in supporting their urgent mission to protect babies from necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC). This cruel disease is one of the leading causes of death in NICUs and the most common and serious gastrointestinal disease affecting newborns. Yet, few people outside the NICU have heard of the disease.
Right now, there is no cure for NEC. That is unacceptable with more than one baby per day dying from complications of this disease. No family should ever have to experience the loss of a child.
