About Team Izzy

Isabella Marie Manicki, was born on July 8, 2024 at Pineville Hospital to parents Steven and Kristin Manicki. She spent her entire 11 days of life in 2 separate NICUs where her parents and grandparents got to visit with her every day. She developed Necrotizing Enterocolitis and required two emergency surgeries and multiple medical interventions. Her parents, with the assistance of the incredible medical staff at Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte, NC made the decision to end her pain on July 19, 2024 and Isabella was allowed to pass peacefully in her mothers arms surrounded by loved ones at 9:34 am.

Isabella, nicknamed "Izzy" was a feisty little girl who liked to kick out of her swaddle. She was a very independent girl, and no one could tell her what to do. Izzy spread her love to her family and everyone who met her.

Izzy was born at 11:41 pm and her family will forever cherish the 11 days they got to spend with her. In honor of Izzy her family set a goal to raise $1,141 to help create a world without NEC.
