As a pediatric nurse, I have had the privilege of caring for some of the tiniest and most vulnerable patients — including babies affected by necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC). I am running the California International Marathon to raise awareness and support for the NEC Society, a nonprofit organization working tirelessly to create a world without NEC.
