Hailing proudly from Bangladesh—the land of the majestic Bengal tiger—The Bengal Tigers are a family-rooted team running the California International Marathon on Sunday, December 7th, 2025. This dynamic group of five runners brings together strength, resilience, and heart as they race to raise awareness and support for the NEC Society, a cause close to their hearts. Kamal Islam (53) – A seasoned runner and the team’s guiding force. Kamrunnisa Islam (47) – A passionate advocate and steady stride of the team. Mohammed Islam (28) – Energetic and driven, representing the next generation. Ashley Islam (24) – A spirited runner with a heart for advocacy. Jannatul Ferdous (23) – The team’s youngest member, full of determination and hope. Together, they embody the courage and unity symbolized by their namesake.
